The first thing I ever saw of this game was a wallpaper on wallpaper engine, of a hand with a lightbulb attatched to it with [POST VOID] above it in large letters, which looked extremely intriguing.
I used this wallpaper for about a month until I realized it was actually from something, a game, and it looked cool as fuck.

And it IS cool as fuck!
It's a really, and I mean really fast paced shooter, with a deck building mechanic, very unique enemies, generated levels to make navigating the hallways a constant added task, and a healthpool that drains over time, only refillable by killing enemies.
All of this combines into a hyperfocus of shooting, sliding and navigation that only ever gets interrupted by picking a card, or death.
The artstyle of the game, which was what got me to initially download the wallpaper, is extremely cool, it's all pixelated art, every prop and enemy is 2D, and the overall aesthetic of everything is amazing.

You can finish one run of this game in 5 minutes, but that one run will feel like you just played for 5x as long as you did, from the constant non-stop action and stimuli flying at you, and the constant inputs you have to give to stay alive, playing this game feels like it speeds up time, and it makes my thoughts dissapear.

All the flashing graphics on death and victory, the mystery and weirdness surrounding everything in the game, from the ending, to your healthpool (which is a slowly draining skull, called "The Idol") it hits a spot no other game really does, and with such good gameplay (including a deck building mechanic which I love) I absolutely adore this game.

Final Score: 9/10
